Under the supervision of Professor Pissinatti, this center of excellence studies and preserves several endangered primates such as the Golden Lion Tamarin and many others. It is the only one of its kind in the world devoted to studying and preserving the Muriqui, a primate that exists only in Brazil, and its accomplishments include successfully breeding the species in captivity.
